• Primary education at Hermon Higher Primary School, Mafeteng district (1952-1959)
• Junior Certificate (JC) at Mafeteng Secondary School (1960-1963)
• Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (COSC) at Basutholand High School (1964-1965)
• Bachelor of Science Degree at University of Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland (UBLS) (1966-1970)
• Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Degree at Oxford University in the United Kingdom. In 1982, he enrolled for Master of Arts (MA) in the same university

• Elected Member of Parliament for the Mafeteng Constituency since 1993 to date
• Appointed Minister of Home Affairs (Local Government, Rural and urban Development)- (1993)
• Appointed Minister of Transport, Posts and Telecommunications (1995-1996)
• Appointed Minister of Education and Manpower development (1996-1998)
• Appointed Minister of Education and Training (2002-2004)
• Appointed Minister of Home Affairs and Public Safety since 2004 to date
• Teaching Assistant in the Mathematics Department at the UBLS (1971-1972)
• Assistant Teacher at Bereng High School (1975-1976) and Headmaster in the same school (1977-1993)
• Former chairman of the Mafeteng Tractor Owners’ Cooperative
• Chairman of the Scott Hospital Commission of inquiry (1990)
• Church Elder and Members of the Mafeteng Lesotho Evangelical Church (LEC) Consistory
• Member of LEC Law Review Commission and of LEC Educational Secretary’s Advisory Committee on Education
