HIS MAJESTY, PM PASS CONDOLENCES TO UK

His Majesty King Letsie III and the Prime Minister, Dr Pakalitha Mosisili passed their heartfelt condolences to the United Kingdom (UK) of Great Britain and Northern Ireland over the unfortunate Westminster terror attack, which claimed lives of five innocent people and injured many more.

In his statement, His Majesty said the magnitude of this tragedy in terms of the loss of human lives, leaves him, the government and Basotho in no doubt that this must be a trying period for the entire nation of the United Kingdom.

He said the fact that this horrific incident could take place within such close proximity of the Houses of Parliament, demonstrates an urgent need for the nations of the world to work together to combat terrorism as an enemy of the modern age.

“Our thoughts and prayers go particularly to the members of the bereaved families and we wish the injured speedy recovery,” he said.

On the other hand, Dr Mosisili wished the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Mrs. Theresa May and the government to find strength to deal with this barbaric act, expressing hope that the perpetrators will be brought to book.

“May Almighty God heal the injured, provide succor to the distressed and may the souls of the departed rest in peace,” he said.

Reports indicate that five people died during Westminster terror attack while 50 were injured near the houses of parliament on Wednesday.
