• Member of Parliament for Kolonyama Constituency No. 18 representing Lesotho Congress for Democracy (LCD)

Academic Qualifications
• Primary education-Kolonyama Lower Primary (1961-1963) and Cana Higher Primary (1964-1965)
• Junior Certificate (JC) and Cambridge Overseas School Certificate (COSC)-Peka High School (1966-1970)
• Advanced Teacher Course- Morija Training College in 1974
• Bachelor of Arts Honours in English Language at the National University of Lesotho
• He also studied at the University of Birmingham, Nuffield Foundation Fellow

Career/Positions/Membership/Other activities
• Elected as a Member of Parliament for Kolonyama Constituency (2002) and was appointed Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly
• Appointed Minister of Forestry and Land Reclamation in 2003, the position he holds to date
• Re-elected to the National Assembly in the 2007 general elections
• Contributed immensely in the formulation and translation of the education chapter of the Basotho Congress Party (BCP) manifesto (1993)

• Appointed Lesotho High Commissioner to South Africa, Pretoria but in that same year, he proceeded to Copenhagen, Denmark, as Lesotho Ambassador. He also worked in Nordic countries like the Republic of Poland and The Russian Federation
• Assistant Teacher at Leribe Secondary School (1971-1981)
• Assistant teacher at Cana High School (1982)
• Assistant Teacher at Vuvulane High School, Swaziland (1982-1986)
• Appointed as Headmaster at Leribe High School (1987-1991)
• Chief Inspector in the Ministry of Education (1992)
• President of the National University of Lesotho- Student Union (1978-1980)
• Pioneer of Education with Production at Leribe High School (between 1987 and 1991), the initiatives on education that became a learning centre for Lesotho primary and high schools. His efforts influenced the Ministry of Education’s self-reliance policy of education
• President of Lesotho Institutions Sports Association (LISA) (1988-1991)
• Elected Vice President of Linare Football Club

• Listening to traditional music, traveling and watching television news.
