• Appointed Minister of Finance and Development Planning (2001-2002)
• Given duties of Minister of Foreign Affairs (2002-2004)
• Transferred to the Ministry of Education and Training (2004-February 2007)
• Appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Relations after 2007 general elections
