At
its meeting on November 14, under “Matters Arising”
Cabinet
directed that the Principal Secretaries should be informed that
officials who would undertake international travel without authorisation
from Cabinet will be surcharged.

Cabinet
directed that all Government vehicles should be installed with the
electronic equipment to tighten control on petrol consumption.
COURT
CASES INVOLVING MEMBERS OF SECURITY FORCES.
At
its meeting on November 14, under “Matters Arising”
Cabinet
directed that the position of Information Officer should be
established in all Ministries including the Attorney General’s Chambers
to ensure efficient dissemination of information.
Cabinet
further directed that while arrangements were being made for the
creation of the positions, the Attorney General’s Chambers, the office
of the Director of Public Prosecutions and the Ministry of Communications
should ensure coverage of the on-going High Profile Court Cases and of the
Court Martial.
