PRINCE TO JOIN SCOUT ASSOCIATION

Prince Lerotholi Mohato Bereng Seeiso will ascend to the Phits'ana level in scouting on Saturday at the event to be held at Makeneng in Mafeteng.

The process will be performed by the Regional Director of scouting, Dr Wiston Adams and the event will be graced by the presence of their Majesties King Letsie III and Queen 'Masenate Mohato Bereng Seeiso.

Chief Scout of Lesotho Scout Association (LSA), Professor Teboho Kitleli, said the Phits'ana level is the first level of scouting hierarchy.

He urged all Basotho children to consider joining the association, saying the association shapes boys and girls to be responsible citizens and that it aims to enhance good behaviour among its members.
Expected at the event are members of LSA countrywide as well as chiefs in the surrounding area.

Prince Lerotholi was born on April 18, 2007 at Maseru Private Hospital. He is the third child of their Majesties King Letsie III and Queen 'Masenate Mohato Bereng Seeiso. He comes after Princesses Senate and 'Maseeiso.

He was named Lerotholi because the first son of Letsie I. Again his birth is seen as an absolute affirmation of the royal legacy of Lesotho. He was baptised at St Louis Mission in Matsieng in May 2007 by Archbishop Bernard Mohlalisi of the Roman Catholic Church.
