The Maseru Toyota in collaboration with the government and International Award Scheme in Swaziland donated a Toyota Hilux vehicle to the Prince Mohato Award Scheme.
Prince Mohato Award Scheme is a service programme of practical, cultural and adventurous activities designed for individuals, clubs, groups and organisations having concern for young people.

It aims to encourage and stimulate enthusiasm, responsibility, enterprise and maturity of young people by presenting their carefully constructed programmes, offering everyone a chance to test their powers in personal activities recognized in series for awards.
His Majesty King Letsie III in his capacity as the patron of Prince Mohato Award received the donated vehicle at the occasion held at the Royal Palace in Maseru on Tuesday.
When accepting the gift, His Majesty promised the donors that the vehicle will be used for the benefit of young people in the country, as the Prince Mohato Award focuses on improving the lives of young people between the ages of 14-25.

His Majesty the King said over the past years, they were struggling to get means of transport, saying most of the time they were assisted by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) to perform their daily activities.

The Maseru Toyota-Managing Director, Mr. Elijah Lelimo said the donation is meant to motivate young people in their endeavour to engage in developmental activities and so promote youth self-reliance projects

Since its establishment in 1976, the Prince Mohato Award has benefited over 300 youth aged between 14- 25 in the country.

The scheme aims to motivate young people to engage in self – reliance projects such as planting trees, agriculture and handy crafts work and youth who are not in school also get the chance to attain skills through camp sites.
