NATIONAL
ASSEMBLY GOES FOR EASTER RECESS |
The National
Assembly will adjourn for a short Easter recess starting on
Wednesday to April 09.
The motion for the National Assembly to take a break for
Easter recess was proposed by the leader of the House, and
the Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Lesao Lehohla on Wednesday and
was seconded by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Mr.
Refiloe Masemene.
Mr. Lehohla said after a hectic work on budget estimates,
where Members worked tirelessly to pass 2008/2009 estimates,
they deserve a short recess to recharge.
The leader of the house described Easter as a family reunion
and that they should also attend church services to take new
Oaths with God.
He said Members should go to the electorate to explain the
contents of the budget in a manner they will understand its
importance for the betterment of their lives and know the
developmental projects to be undertaken.
The motion was accepted and the House will reconvene on
Wednesday afternoon of April 09.
