MKM APPLICATION DISMISSED WITH COSTS

The High Court of Lesotho has dismissed with costs, an application in which Star Lion Gold Coin Investment Company sought and obtained order to interdict Central Bank of Lesotho (CBL) from interfering with its operations.

Judge Kelello Guni said an application was irregular since CBL was not notified of its intentions to oppose. She said lawyers of the Star Lion Gold Investment Company approached the court behind CBL's back.

She said through CBL, PricewaterCoopers was engaged in investigating and inspecting every copy of the documents owned by Star Lion Gold Coin Investments, adding that PricewaterCoopers are professionals who know what a receipt is, and why is it issued. She said the investigators knew exactly what they were doing.

She pointed out that Star Lion Gold Coin Investment Company took the idea of investigations differently and were ignorant. She said the process of inspection was not to educate anyone but to assist the company.

She said that the interim order of investigations should continue and the documents be taken in the presence of Simon Thebe-Ea-Khale or his lawyers, and added that their absence should not interfere with the inspection.

Star Lion Gold Coin Investment had filed an application in which it sought and obtained order to interdict CBL from interfering with operations of the Star Lion Gold Coin Investment.

The case is before Judge Kelello Guni, and Advocate Hopolang Nathane, 'Mamots'elisi Khiba, Mots’oari Makhetha and Lebohang Ramakhula represent the Star Lion Gold Coin Investment while Advocate Ploos Van Amstel stands for CBL.
