MESSRS RANTEKOA AND KHASIPE APPOINTED NEW AMBASSADORS

His Majesty King Letsie III commissioned Mr. Mohlomi Rantekoa as the new Ambassador of Lesotho to the United States of America and Mr. Thabo Khasipe as the Ambassador of Lesotho to the Arab Republic of Egypt on Wednesday.

Delivering the charge to the new ambassadors, His Majesty expressed hope that the two will serve the government and the people of Lesotho with loyalty, honour and dignity in their capacities as ambassadors.

He wished them success in their new assignments, expressing hope that they will find their duties as envoys both fulfilling and pleasant and to further enhance the relationship that exists between Lesotho, Egypt and the United States of America.

“We are confident that you will be able to discharge your mission in a manner that will merit the approval of President George Bush of the United States and President Mohamed Hosni Mubarak of Egypt,” he said, urging them to prove themselves worthy of this mark of confidence that has bestowed upon them.

Accepting the charge, Mr. Rantekoa said he is ready to discharge his duties with dedication and devotion, and requested support from the Lesotho government while away on his job.

Mr. Khasipe also said he will strive to further strengthen the relationship that exits between Lesotho and Egypt for improving the livelihood of Basotho.

Mr. Rantekoa who is the former Principal Secretary in the Ministry of Trade, Industry Cooperatives and Marketing replaces Mrs. Molelekeng Rapolaki. He is married and blessed with three children,

While Mr. Khasipe who was the Standard Lesotho Bank-Unit Trust General Manager replaces Mr. Seymour Kikine. He is also married and blessed with one child.
