INTRODUCTION
OF ELECTRONIC CLOCKING SYSTEM UNDERWAY-HR MANAGER |
Preparations
are underway for the introduction of electronic clocking
systems by civil servants in their respective ministries,
the Human Resource Manager in the Ministry of
Communications, Science and technology disclosed.
Ms. Thato Mosisili was addressing the ministry’s staff on
Wednesday at the meeting held at the Lesotho Television
premises.
She however said that in preparation for the new system to
be in place, government has introduced manual clocking
sheets that started on April 01 for all civil servants.
"The clocking sheets are aimed at instilling good habits
among civil servants for the development of the government
sector by ensuring that they arrive on time at work and
provide quality services to the society,” she noted.
The Human Resource Manager noted that it is the
responsibility of all civil servants to ensure that they
report to work on time and report to their supervisors
whenever they encounter problems to avoid inconveniences at
workplace.
She said the manual sheets will lead to the electronic
clocking systems, which will affect salaries of employees,
especially the late comers.
Ms. Mosisili therefore appealed to all staff members to take
the clocking system seriously, further urging them to work
hard as salary increment will also be based on individual
performance.
