OPENS MORE DOORS FOR BASOTHO |
The Government
of Indonesia is providing scholarships for Lesotho nationals
wishing to study for their Masters Degree in Indonesian
universities, through its Developing Countries Partnership
Scholarship (DCPS) for the 2008/09 academic year.
This has been announced by Mr. Fred Panggabean, the head of
Information and Cultural Affairs in the South African-based
Indonesian Embassy.
Mr. Panggabean says the Developing Countries Partnership
Scholarship Program is a Masters' Degree programme
undertaken over three years, made up of one year of learning
the Indonesian Language and Preparatory Programs and two
years for the Master's Programme.
He says Participants can choose their preferred fields of
study from Humanities, Science, Agricultural Sciences,
Social Science, Engineering and Education.
The scholarship covers tuition fees, monthly stipend
consisting of the living cost allowance, research allowance
and books. The Indonesian Government also provides a
round-trip international airfare Jakarta, Indonesia.
The scholarship programme requires candidates to be under 36
years of age, have completed an undergraduate study
(bachelor’s degree), and be in good health.
The scholarship program will start in September 2008. The
completed scholarship application forms should be submitted
to the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Pretoria by
March 10 2008.
