Their Majesties King Letsie III and Queen 'Masenate Mohato Seeiso hosted a cultural dinner for the visiting Swazi King, His Majesty King Mswati III at Katse Village on Thursday evening.

His Majesty King Mswati, his wife, Her Majesty Queen Inkhosinati Lantentesa and their entourage were entertained with traditional music by local groups that included Fatere and Sefatela.

Earlier, their majesties were taken on a conducted tour of Katse dam, and given a brief explanation of the construction of dam. The Chief Executive of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LHWP), Mr. Masilo Phakoe briefed the delegation on how the affected communities around the dam were compensated.

He said the Project built schools and clinics in the area, and that it continues to fund vegetable production projects.

The Swazi King and his entourage had earlier on Thursday visited Liphofung cave in Butha-Buthe, where they were briefly of the cave's history and its importance to Basotho warriors during the rule of the founder of the nation, Moshoeshoe I.

His Majesty King Mswati III who arrived in the country on a three-day state visit on Wednesday will end his visit on Friday.
