HIS MAJESTY
GIVEN HUGE BIRTHDAY CEREMONY |
A huge
celebration was given in honour of the 45th birthday of His
Majesty King Letsie III in Mafeteng, where His Majesty also
inspected formation of armed forces.
Their Majesties also ceased the opportunity to walk around
to greet the multitudes of people who had come to wish His
Majesty the King a happy birthday and prosperous life.
On behalf of the government, Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Lesao
Lehohla wished His Majesty King Letsie III together with his
family a joyous life.
His Majesty also took this chance to award medals to among
others, Dr ‘Musi Mokete for his outstanding dedication and
contribution in the medical field while Mr. Phatela Thamae
was awarded a medal for his contribution in agricultural
field.
His Majesty King Letsie III is the eldest son of the late
Majesties, King Moshoeshoe II and Queen Mother ’M’amohato
Bereng Seeiso. He is married to Her Majesty Queen ‘Masenate
Mohato Seeiso and blessed with three children, Princesses
Senate and 'Maseeiso and Prince Lerotholi. He was born at
Scott hospital in Morija on July 17, 1963.
Present to grace the occasion were the Deputy Prime
Minister, cabinet ministers, Prince Harry from the United
Kingdom, members of the diplomatic corps, government
officials, Members of Parliament, councilors, school
children and the community at large.
Other activities honouring this day were carried out in all
the districts of the country, with Maseru celebrating in
Semonkong.
