The Chief Magistrate Molefi Makara of the Central Region will take part in a three-week Intensive Study Programme for Judicial Educators to be in Canada from Sunday.

The event has been organised by the Commonwealth Judicial Education Institute (CJEI).

According to the programme, objectives of the study include: to identify the objectives of judicial education, familiarisation of participants with sources of judicial education resource programmes and materials, and to identify reasons for the strength of the level court.

The Magistrate Court Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr. Setho Moremoholo said the training will be beneficial to Chief Magistrate as it afford him to interact and share ideas and experiences with colleagues from developed countries.

He said Mr. Makara is expected to impart the knowledge gained to his peers back home.

The programme will be conducted by judges of different courts of Canada.
