BOTSWANA'S
FOREIGN AFFAIRS MINISTER VISITS LESOTHO |
Botswana's
Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation,
Lieutenant Mompati Merafhe and his delegation arrived in the
country on a three day visit on Wednesday.
According to the information received from the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and International Relations in Lesotho, the
purpose of Lieutenant Merafhe's visit is to receive a
progress report on the Joint Commission on Economic and
Technical Cooperation between Lesotho and Botswana.
Upon arrival, he paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister
Mr. Pakalitha Mosisili and Minister of Foreign Affairs and
International Relations Mr. Mohlabi Tsekoa. He is also
expected to pay a courtesy call on His Majesty King Letsie
III before his departure to Botsawna.
During his visit, Lieutenant Merafhe will tour the Muela
Hydropower Plant in Butha-Buthe and tour the Lesotho Defence
Force (LDF) training centre at 'Moteng where LDF Commander
Lieutenant General Thuso Motanyane will brief him about the
centre.
He will also visit Lest'eng Mine, Thetsane textile
industries, National University of Lesotho and observe the
cultural village at Thaba-Bosiu.
The delegation will return home on Friday.
