APPEAL COURT TO HOLD FIRST SESSION

The Lesotho Court of Appeal will hold its first session of sitting starting from March 26 to April 11.

According to the roll issued by the office of the Registrar, the court will dispose of 29 cases during its sitting.

The number of cases to be disposed of include 16 civil appeals, 11 criminal appeals as well as two civil appeals, which will be withdrawn.

The first day of the session will serve as the day when allocation of time and dates for the hearing of cases would be held.

The roll indicates that the last day of the session will be used to deliver judgments for cases that would have been argued before court.

Lesotho Court of Appeal has two sessions per year. The first sitting is held in the first half of a calendar year, while the second session is held in the second half of the calendar year.
