SEEMA OUT OF LIKUENA CLASH AGAINST UGANDA

Likuena's skipper Lehlohonolo Seema will be out of crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier match against Uganda at Setsoto Stadium on Sunday.

According to the Team's coach, Mr. Motheo 'Six to Six' Mohapi, Seema has aggravated his knee injury and will not be considered for the weekend crucial encounter.

However, Mr. Mohapi was positive that he would find a suitable replacement for him. He called on Basotho not to be discouraged by the 2-0 loss against Niger due to unforeseeable circumstances they encountered prior to that match such as failure to acclimatize to weather conditions in Niamey.

Mr. Mohapi said since taking over coaching reins, he has worked hard to establish a competitive team, which is capable of facing teams of Nigeria's calibre. He therefore appealed to Basotho to rally behind their national team.

On the other hand, Lesotho Football Association (LEFA) Administrative Manager, Mr. Mokhosi Mohapi has stated that the association is working around the clock to find incentives, which will motivate the players to win on Sunday. He, however, did not disclose further information, saying announcements will be made in due course.

Meanwhile, Uganda is reportedly camping in South Africa since Monday and will only be coming to Lesotho on Friday evening.

Though Likuena is already out of contention to qualify for the 2008 Ghana Nations Cup finals, they will be under pressure to win since they will be playing at home, while the Cranes would like to win to boost their chances of making it to the finals.

Uganda is second in a Group 3 with seven points led by Nigeria with Nine. Only two points separate these teams while Likuena is languishing at the bottom with three points behind Niger with four points.

Tanzanian referees will be in charge of this crucial match while the Match Commissioner hails from Namibia.
