POST-ELECTORAL DIALOGUE TEAM PAYS A COURTESY CALL TO HIS
MAJESTY |
The Southern
Africa Development Community (SADC) Post-Electoral Political
Dialogue delegation paid a courtesy call to His Majesty the
King and the Prime Minister's office on Thursday morning.
The delegation, which is led by former Botswana President,
Sir Ketumile Masire will also have a consultative meeting
with the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) at Lesotho
Sun.
The delegation will also have a briefing with Heads of
Diplomatic Mission at Lehakoe today Thursday.
After lunch, the delegation will have another consultative
meeting with heads of Churches and also meet former Media
Monitoring or Facilitation Group at Lesotho Sun.

On Friday, the delegation will have a consultative meeting
with the opposition parties as well as the ruling party,
both meetings will be held at 'Manthabiseng Convention
Centre.
These meetings will be followed by another consultative
meeting with the Non-governmental Organisations (LCN), after
which they will compile a report at the same venue.
According to the programme issued by the Protocol Office in
the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the actual dialogue will
commence on Saturday morning at the Convention Centre, which
will last for two days until Sunday.
Monday, the delegation will pay another courtesy call on the
Prime Minister's office before it leaves.
The SADC delegation presence in the country is intended to
mediate in the current political situation with the
objective to encourage dialogue among political leaders both
ruling and opposition parties in the country.
