NEW HOSPITAL
FACILITIES TO BE OPENED |
The
Minister of Health and Social Welfare, in collaboration with
the US Ambassador to Lesotho will officially open the newly
expanded Queen II hospital facilities.
Dr. Motloheloa Phooko and Mrs. June Cater Perry will
officiate this activity at function to be held at Queen II
hospital on Thursday.
The event follows the completion of the renovation of the
partitioning of the maternal and child health clinic,
construction of the ART clinic waiting area that will also
be used as a multi-functional space for patient treatment
literacy and education activities and the partitioning of
the canteen to create a lecture and meeting room for staff.
International Center for AIDS Care and Treatment Programs (ICAP),
in conjunction with the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric
Foundation (EGPAF), and the Academy for Educational
Development (AED) initiated programs in Lesotho forming the
Lesotho Partnership for Family-Centered HIV Programs.
Under this partnership, ICAP supports the implementation of
the national and site level comprehensive HIV/AIDS care
treatment services. The partnership is funded by USAID.
