The Mokhotlong Tourism Association (MTA) will hold a fun ride from Pitso Ground to Bafali in Mokhotlong on March 31.

MTA Vice chairperson, Mr. Thabo Moleko said the purpose of the fun ride is to create awareness on tourism attractions and also to raise funds for the association. He said the collected money will be used to market tourism sites in the district.

To enhance marketing, MTA will visit all tourism attraction so to capture photos that would be published in pamphlets and brochures.

Activities of the day will include horse riding to Semonkong waterfall at Bafali where tourists will be briefed on the site's history, and performance of traditional music and dances, he said.

This activity according to Mr. Moleko will benefit the Mokhotlong community through horses hiring, accommodation and selling of handicrafts and food.

MTA is a non profit making association aiming at promoting community development through income generation from nature based tourism. It was established in 2005 under the facilitation of Maloti Drakensburg Transfrontier Project (MDTP).
