MEKALING MP SWORN-IN IN PARLIAMENT

Mr. Mahlomola Makhube was sworn-in in the National Assembly as Member of Parliament for Mekaling Constituency No.59 on Friday.

After taking oath of allegiance to His Majesty King Letsie III and the country's constitution, the Deputy Speaker Mr. Sephiri Motanyane urged him (Mr. Makhube) to respect himself and to lead the people of Mekaling by example.

Mr. Makhube won the Mekaling by-elections held on Saturday of October 27, 2007.

The by elections followed the untimely death of the then Mekaling Member of Parliament, Mr. Molefe Konyana in May this year.

Mr. Makhube will add the number of the ruling Lesotho Congress for Democracy (LCD) members to 62 out of a total of 120 seats in the National Assembly.
