The late Member of Parliament for Mekaling constituency No. 59 in Mohale’s hoek, Mr. Molefe Konyana will be laid to rest on June 23 at Maphuts’eng Ha Makhube.

Mr. Konyana passed away at Scott hospital in Morija on May 28 2007, the same day he was admitted.

In an interview with LENA, a family member, Mr. Mphats’oe Konyana said Mr Molefe Konyana died of meningitis.

He described his death as a great loss to the family and Mekaling community, who he represented in parliament. “Young and active as he was, we expected to benefit much from him,” he said.

Before elected as a Member of Parliament after February 2007 General Elections, the late MP worked at Maseru City Council.

He passed away at the age of 34 leaving a wife and two children, a four-year-old daughter and two year old son.
