LIKHOPO F.C.
AGAINST ZANACO OF ZAMBIA |
Visiting
Zambian league champions are anticipating a tough game
against local league champions Likhopo F.C. when the two
meet at Setsoto stadium on Sunday, 28th January, 2007.
Zambian National Commercial Bank (ZANACO) Club coach Mr.
Fighton Simukonda said they are looking forward to an
interesting clash against Likhopo. Though he said they know
nothing about Likhopo F.C., he said at they are expecting to
see it play a similar type of play as that of the
neighbouring South Africa. The former Nkana Red Devils
player himself said they are taking their encounter
seriously, adding that they would not be underrating the
host team as that would be detrimental.
Likhopo F.C is faced with many challenges ahead of this
crucial encounter. Its key players veteran players, Ts'epo
Hlojeng and Motlatsi Shale, utility player Bokang Mothoana,
as well as goalkeeper Lerata Ts'along have injuries. Team
Manager Mr. Pheang Setenane promised to soldier on and he
appealed to Basotho to rally behind the team to cheer them
on.
ZANACO F.C. has won Zambian championship four times in a row
and lost
against Egyptian side at second round in the African
champions league last year.
Both teams will meet again in the second leg of African
Champions league in Lusaka Zambia two weeks later to decide
which club proceeds to the second round of the competition.
The winner will meet either a Tunisian or Chad sides in
March this year.
