LIKHOPO F.C. AGAINST ZANACO OF ZAMBIA

Visiting Zambian league champions are anticipating a tough game against local league champions Likhopo F.C. when the two meet at Setsoto stadium on Sunday, 28th January, 2007.

Zambian National Commercial Bank (ZANACO) Club coach Mr. Fighton Simukonda said they are looking forward to an interesting clash against Likhopo. Though he said they know nothing about Likhopo F.C., he said at they are expecting to see it play a similar type of play as that of the neighbouring South Africa. The former Nkana Red Devils player himself said they are taking their encounter seriously, adding that they would not be underrating the host team as that would be detrimental.

Likhopo F.C is faced with many challenges ahead of this crucial encounter. Its key players veteran players, Ts'epo Hlojeng and Motlatsi Shale, utility player Bokang Mothoana, as well as goalkeeper Lerata Ts'along have injuries. Team Manager Mr. Pheang Setenane promised to soldier on and he appealed to Basotho to rally behind the team to cheer them on.

ZANACO F.C. has won Zambian championship four times in a row and lost
against Egyptian side at second round in the African champions league last year.

Both teams will meet again in the second leg of African Champions league in Lusaka Zambia two weeks later to decide which club proceeds to the second round of the competition. The winner will meet either a Tunisian or Chad sides in March this year.
