The Lesotho Postal Services (LPS) team scooped Botswana Postal Services (BPS) by winning the volleyball and netball league in a friendly tournament held in Botswana over the weekend.

LPS Volleyball women's league, scored 2-0 against BPS, and 2-1 in men's league, while in netball, LPS scored 26 points and BPS 20 while in football, Lesotho was beaten 4-3.

In an interview, the Sports Coordinator, Mrs. 'Masoloja Motlomelo, said the purpose of the tournament was for the two countries to share knowledge and ideas pertaining to their work and uplift the spirit of sports in their countries.

She said starting from February next year, the tournament will feature other SADC countries that include among others South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia.

The tournament was supported by the Ministry of Communications Science and Technology and other sponsors that include Cecilia Furnitures, Epic Printers and Qwik Clean.

A similar tournament was held in the country in Easter.
