LIKUENA DRAWN AGAINST TOUGH TEAMS IN AFCON, WORLD CUP QUALIFIERS

Lesotho's senior national side, Likuena will play against tough teams in the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and 2010 world cup qualifiers such as Gabon, Libya and Ghana.

The draw was conducted in Durban, South Africa on Sunday where Lesotho is in group E.

Likuena will play against much experienced teams since the three have in the past reached the finals of AFCON, while Ghana has also went as far as playing in the 2006 World cup held in Germany.

There are 12 groups consisting of four teams each, and the winner in each group will automatically qualify for the world cup final, while eight best runners up will go for another round to determine which four nations go through to the finals.

Africa has been allocated five places in the world cup including the host country, South Africa, which has already qualified as the hosts.

Meanwhile, Likuena will play an international friendly match against South Africa's Bafana Bafana in Germiston, South Africa on Tuesday night of November 27.
