LIKUENA TO CAMP IN MALAYSIA

Lesotho's national soccer team 'Likuena' leaves the country on Monday (August 13) for Malaysia where they will camp for two and half weeks.

Lesotho Football Association (LEFA) Administration Manager Mr. Mokhosi Mohapi said the purpose of the trip is to prepare for the second leg of African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Nigeria, which will be played in Nigeria after the camp.

The first leg was played in Maseru earlier this year and Lesotho was beaten 1-0 by Nigeria.

Mr. Mohapi said during the camp, Likuena will play with the senior soccer team of Malaysia adding that the match will be part of the celebrations to mark the 50th Independence Anniversary of Malaysia.

He further said Likuena will also play against Singapore and Zimbabwe in Singapore in Merkeda Cup as part of their preparations.

This will be the first trip of this magnitude to be undertaken by Likuena.
