LIKUENA TO
CAMP IN MALAYSIA |
Lesotho's
national soccer team 'Likuena' leaves the country on Monday
(August 13) for Malaysia where they will camp for two and
half weeks.
Lesotho Football Association (LEFA) Administration Manager
Mr. Mokhosi Mohapi said the purpose of the trip is to
prepare for the second leg of African Cup of Nations
qualifiers against Nigeria, which will be played in Nigeria
after the camp.
The first leg was played in Maseru earlier this year and
Lesotho was beaten 1-0 by Nigeria.
Mr. Mohapi said during the camp, Likuena will play with the
senior soccer team of Malaysia adding that the match will be
part of the celebrations to mark the 50th Independence
Anniversary of Malaysia.
He further said Likuena will also play against Singapore and
Zimbabwe in Singapore in Merkeda Cup as part of their
preparations.
This will be the first trip of this magnitude to be
undertaken by Likuena.
