The World Bank Group (WBG) in collaboration with the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA), will conduct an Intensive Learning Exercise. They will also compile an Implementation, Completion and Results Report (ICR) for Phase 1B of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project (LHWP).

The report from LHWP said the evaluation is aimed at improving the quality and effectiveness of World Bank lending and enhancing borrowers' ability to design, implement and operate projects of a similar nature.

The exercise is designed to provide experience gained from Lesotho Highlands Water Project implementation to improve country lending strategies and the design of future operations.

It will also help to ensure greater development impact and sustainability of projects during the operational phase, and reinforce self-evaluation, including development impact assessment by the Bank and borrowers.
