The Ministry of Education and Training will hold a one week Donor Coordination and Sector Wide Approach Joint Review (DCSWAJR) Conference at ‘Manthabiseng Convention Centre in Maseru from 05th September 2007.

The conference will be preceded by field trips to Lesia Secondary School in Maseru and Ts’oana-Makhulo Secondary in Berea, National University of Lesotho and Lerotholi Polytechnic on Monday 03rd September 2007.

On the 4th September the trip will proceed to Libobeng Primary School in Qacha’snek, Thaba-Tseka Technical Institute, Lesotho College of Education, Rantsimane Learning Post in the Thaba-Tseka district.

The Ministry's Information Officer Mrs. 'Makopano Semakale said the conference will review the education and training sector performance by looking at the budgetary performance indicators for 2006-2007 financial year and to identify challenges and ways of addressing them.

She added that the conference is also aimed at reviewing progress on the operationalisation of the MOET national response strategy to the 2007 influx into Secondary schools and to share achievements and future plans of the education and training sector in Lesotho with stakeholders and the general public.
