CHIEF JUSTICE
ATTENDS COMMONWEALTH LAW CONFERENCE |
Chief Justice
Mahapela Lehohla is currently attending the 15th
Commonwealth law conference, which started on Sunday in
Nairobi Kenya.
Chief Justice is amongst the more than 2 000 lawyers
expected to be representing 53 Commonwealth countries at the
conference.
According to the programme, the conference is aimed at
offering continuing professional development as well as
offering opportunity to network amongst the participants.
Topics to be discussed include constitutionalism, human
rights, governance and the rule of law.
The participants at the conference are also expected to
discuss issues pertaining to corporate and commercial law,
while law in a globalised economy also forms part of issues
under discussion.
The conference has been organised by the Law Society of
Kenya in collaboration with the Commonwealth Lawyers
Association.
The conference is expected to end on Saturday.
