VICTIMS INFORMATION OFFICE ESTABLISHED
	Maseru, June 29 - In an effort to cater for the rights of victims of crime, the office of the chief magistrate has recently established the crime victims' information office. In an interview, the information officer in the Maseru magistrate court Mr. Setho Moremoholo said the office has been established after an observation that the victims of crime are ignored after being deprived off their rights by criminals. Mr. Moremoholo said the newly-established office is tasked to ensure that victims are provided with relevant information regarding their cases, so that they could make follow-ups. He further noted that it is important that victims are enlightened about the procedure so that they are not confused. He cited an example whereby some victims complain about granting of bails, stating that courts grant bail to the accused persons as per provisions of the law. LENA
