UNICEF GOODWILL AMBASSADOR VISITS ORPHANS IN MOKHOTLONG
	-- The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Goodwill Ambassador for Japan Miss Mi-Lee Agnes Chan-hwa toured among communities of Bobatsi constituency in the Mokhotlong district on Tuesday. The District information officer, Miss Thethiwe Makara, the tour was intended to formulate a situational analysis concerning orphans and vulnerable children in the area. She said the tour gave the Ambassador an opportunity to witness the devastating impact of HIV/AIDS on children adding that this will enable the Ambassador to put children at the centre of the response to the AIDS pandemic and proposes concrete solutions to halt and reverse the spread of the disease when she returns to Japan. Miss Makara stated that during her visit Miss Chan-hwa witnessed the harsh reality for children who have lost both their parents due to the disease as well as those who are most vulnerable.
