TANZANIAN PRESIDENT ENDS VISIT TO LESOTHO
   Maseru, April 20 (LENA)-- The President of Tanzania Mr. Jakaya M Kikwete says two countries agreed to share experiences on a number of issues such as cultural and economic cooperation and to exchange knowledge and experience on information, education and training, health, water management, trade and agriculture.

He said this at a press conference which he held jointly with the Prime Minister, Mr. Pakalitha Mosisili at Moshoeshoe I international airport before departure to Swaziland.

He said he came to Lesotho as one of the SADC Country members and because Lesotho is proactive on international issues.

The Tanzanian president pledged to revisit the country in future so that he could stay a little bit longer and learn more about Basotho.

Mr. Kikwete said his country has a bright future on Mining sector as they are third behind South Africa and Uganda.

On the other hand, Mr. Mosisili said they have agreed to strengthen and solidify already existing cooperation for the benefit of the two countries.

He pointed out that many intellectuals in the country like the Vice Chancellor in the National University of Lesotho (NUL) Professor Mafa Sejanamane and many others were educated in Tanzania while there are many Tanzanian lecturers at NUL.

Besides cooperation on education, he said they could also learn on improving private sector and tourism.

Mr. Mosisili said he is currently being visited by many head of states because of the prevailing peace and stability the country has achieved, adding that they are going to take advantage by improving tourism sector.
