Supreme Council of Sports in Africa Games in June

The Lesotho Sports and Recreation Commission is to oversee preparations for the forthcoming Supreme Council of Sports in Africa Games, which will be held in Windhoek, Namibia in June this year.

Spokesperson Dr. Lebohang Khomari said the Ministry of Gender and Youth, Sports and Recreation has given them the green light to prepare for the Games. The country will take part in seven disciplines that will include athletics for the disabled, basketball (men), boxing, football (men) and netball and tennis for the Under 20's.

The Commission is working with the different associations to identify players.

Some of the athletes to represent the country in these games were selected during the National Vision 2020 Games held in Maseru in December.
