STREET LIGHTS TO BE INSTALLED IN ROMA AND MASERU WEST

The Road Fund has paid M2.4 million towards the installation of streets  lights at Roma and Maseru West.

The contract for installation was signed between the Ministry of Public  Works and Transporta and a local company, Tsoelopele Consultancy and Contractors today.

Public Works and Transport Principal Secretary Monyane Mathibeli said the  project is part of a government initiative to install light along main roads throughout the country.

He said during the signing ceremony that the street lights will be for the safety and security of road users. A total of 149 lights will installed from Maphotong to Ha Basieane at Roma, with 16 from the Royal Palace gate to Machabeng College in Maseru West.
