ST ANGELA HOSTS A VISITOR FROM UK

-The Director of Leonard Cheshire International in the United Kingdom, Mrs. Tanya Barron is on a three day visit at St. Angela Cheshire Home of the disabled in Lesotho.

Mrs Barron arrived in the country on Sunday, and during her stay, she is expected to pay courtesy call at the Royal Palace, to meet with officials in the Department of Social Welfare and to address children
with disability at St Angela.

Speaking at the Press Conference held at Skillshare International Offices on Monday, Mrs Barron said the purpose of her visit is to seek an understanding on issues relating to disabilities in Lesotho as well as to establish how Cheshire services could assist Basotho to empower people with disabilities.

She said since the establishment of St. Angela thus 21years ago, the home has portrayed an outstanding performance thus ensuring that children with disabilities are given an opportunity to education.

She indicated that the centre has always provided quality health care for children as they are equipped
with counselling skills that build them physically and mentally.

This is her first visit to Lesotho and she will leave on Tuesday.
