Sports Commission to Get CEO

The Chief Executive Officer of the Lesotho Sports and Recreation Commission will be in place at the beginning of the government's financial year in April.

According to Ministry of Gender and Youth, Sports and Recreation chief information officer, Mr. Bothata Tsikoane, a selection process is currently underway to identify the right person for the office.

He refuted allegations that the process was taking so long because the Ministry was looking for pro-government people.

Associations have complained that service provision at the LSRC offices takes long due to the lack of, among others, a Chief Executive Officer with the office being run by volunteers.
