Sephooa to be Buried at Sekamaneng on February 4.

'Mats'epo Sephooa, one of the country's well known long distance runners, who died at the Thetsane Private Hospital on January 22, after a long illness,  will be buried at Sekamaneng in the Berea district on February 4.

Lesotho Amateur Athletics Association (LAAA) spokesperson, Mr. Sejanamane Maphathe expressed the Association’s deep sense of loss at the death of one of the best
female runners this country has ever produced.

It would take this country some time to replace the void left by the death of Sephooa who represented the country many times internationally and managed to hoist national flag high among other countries.

One of her colleagues, Mrs. 'Malibuseng Lebele, said Sephooa helped her qualify for the Zimbabwe All Africa Games a few years ago. They had been running together from childhood into their married lives.

“She also assisted me to cope with marriage when things did not go well,' she added.

Maphathe said arrangements were being made to hold a memorial service for Sephooa next week.
