Maseru --The Department of Road Safety will conduct the annual road safety campaign for the festive season starting from December 04. The campaign will run for a month until January 05.

Information Officer at the Department of Road Safety, Mrs. Phumla Moleko said the campaign is aimed at preventing and reducing road accidents during the festive season.

This year's campaign will focus more on pedestrians because records show  that they are the main victims in road accidents.

The department will distribute road safety material to all road users. Six of the seven people who died during the festive season last year were pedestrians.
