The Liphakoe Football Ground will be upgraded at an estimated M250 000 to get it ready for the national King’s Birthday celebrations, to be held in Quthing this year. The renovation work is expected to be complete by June.

District Administrator for Quthing Mrs. ‘Mapitso Panyane said the upgrading includes installation of electricity and water supply, construction of latrines and a VIP stand that will accommodate 200 dignitaries on the King’s 43rd birthday.

Mrs. Panyane said some roads in town will also be rehabilitated as well as the construction of a new bus stop area.

King Letsie III’s birthday is on July 17.
