| Police Introduce Sniffer Dog Service | |

The Lesotho Mounted Police Service is for the first time to introduce sniffer dogs as part of its arsenal. Initially there will be five dogs, three of which will be used in sniffing out hidden drugs and the two are trained to sniff out bombs. Five police officers are responsible for the dogs LMPS public relations officer Inspector Pheello Mphana said the dogs, which will improve police investigations, will be deployed at Moshoeshoe I International Airport and at border posts. 03 March 2006 |
