POLICE SEIZES OVER 300 DAGGA BAGS AND THREE VEHICLES
	– More than 300 bags of dagga and three vehicles have been seized from the residents of Mapoteng in Berea during the Palancca Negra Police Operation which started in the district on Monday. The Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) in the Northern Region, Mr. Mokoto Khoeli said the operation is mainly focused on illegal immigrants, firearms, vehicles and dagga, which contribute negatively to economic growth of the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) countries. ACP Khoeli said the operation is a joint venture of the Lesotho police and their counterparts from the SADC countries. He noted three villagers of ha Macha were found in possession of the 300 bags of dagga, while the vehicles were impounded because of unclear registrations which need to be investigated.
