PHELA Health and Development Communications will launch a book based on  violence and abuse of women at Butha-Buthe on December 08.

The launch is part of the commemoration of 16 Days of Activism Against  Gender Violence.

The book is written in English and Sesotho to reach a wider audience. The  titles are 'Help Stop Women Abuse' and 'Kenya Letsoho Ho Ruta Batho Ka  Tlhekefetso Ea Basali'.Both versions will be launched together with the  second episode of PHELA Radio drama, Musa Pelo, which will be aired in  March next year. Part One of the drama started running last month and  deals with HIV/AIDS and human rights issues, among others.

The book is entitled 'Help Stop Women Abuse' while the Sesotho one is  entitled 'Kenya Letsoho Ho Ruta Batho Ka Tlhekefetso Ea Basali'.

PHELA Advocacy and Marketing Manager Ms. Bolele Monyau said the book will  provide readers with information on what is abuse, different forms of  abuse, how can they be identified and reported. The research on which the  book is based focuses mainly on the abuse of women, with men being the  main culprits.
