PARLIAMENT ADJOURNS SINE DIE
 
 
Maseru, June 01 - The National Assembly has from Wednesday adjourned sine die to allow Members to go and report back to the electorate.

Proposing the motion in the National Assembly, the Leader of the House who is also Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Lesao Lehohla said the break will allow members to go and report back to the electorate about what transpired since they came back from the Christmas recess.

He also urged Members to take advantage of the present moisture to plough Winter crops like wheat and peas.

Mr. Lehohla congratulated the Members for working hard throughout the House's proceedings and therefore wished them good rest so that when they come back they could carryout a daunting task lying ahead.

He also advised them that the House would be recalled on July 27 to address other matters of the House.

The eleventh meeting of the first session of the Sixth Parliament resumed duties on February 03 this year, after Christmas recess and some of the motions and Bills discussed and passed included Financial Policy, Consolidated Capital Account.

Other issues were the Adoption of the Amended Report of the Committee on Agricultural Inputs, Adoption of the Public Accounts Committee 2001 to 2002, Lesotho Electricity Authority Bill Amendment as well as Prevention of Corruption and Economic Offences Bill 2006.
