PM LEAVES FOR AU SUMMIT IN GAMBIA
  Maseru, June - The Prime Minister Mr Pakalitha Mosilili and his delegation left Lesotho on Tuesday to participate at the 7th Assembly of the African Union (AU) Summit to be held in Banjul, Gambia from July 1 - 2.

The purpose of the Summit is to provide the opportunity to reflect, take decisions and review progress on outstanding issues from the last Summit which was held in Khartoum, Sudan in January this year

The Ordinary Sessions of the Assembly of Heads of State and Government of the African Union are statutory meetings held biennially to speed up implementation of the Union's new structure.

The sessions are usually preceded by the Permanent Representatives Committee (PRC), and the Ordinary Session of the Executive Council.

The Lesotho delegation is headed by the Prime Minister Mr Pakalitha Mosisili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Monyane Moleleki, Senior Private Secretary to the Prime Minister Mrs M. Seitlheko, and Acting Principal Secretary of Foreign Affairs Mr Thabang Lekhela.

Lesotho's Ambassador to Ethiopia and the African Union Mr Motlatsi Ramafole and other senior government officials from the Headquarters will join them in Gambia.
