New Envoys to the WTO, People’s Republic of China
 

King Letsie III as commissioned two new ambassadors, one to the World Trade Organisation and to the Un and its specialised agencies in Geneva, and the other to the People’s Republic of China.  Dr Mothae Anthony Maruping is the new envoy to the WTO while Mr. Rachobokoane Anthony Thibeli will be ambassador to China.

The King expressed confidence that both representatives would be able to discharge their mission in a manner that would prove them worthy of this mark of confidence. Lesotho desires to maintain and strengthen the good relations that exist between it, the United Nations and the People's Republic of China.

The two ambassadors promised to endeavor to discharge the duties with which they have been entrusted with dedication and devotion. They would remain aware of the aspirations, plans and priorities of His Majesty's Government in the development of the prosperity and well being of the people of Lesotho and His Majesty's desire to strengthen the bonds of friendship with other countries.
