This year's intervarsity games will be hosted by the National University of Lesotho (NUL) from February 20 to March 05 at Roma and various other venues.

The NUL was unable to host the Games last year due to a severe shortage of water on campus.

According to Sports Master Monaheng “Doc” Monyane, preparations are going smoothly. The NUL would be defending many titles such as soccer, tennis and taekwondo

He was so confident of the high standard that he suggested to the national coaches of the different sporting disciplines to attend the games so that they could identify athletes who could feature in the Commonwealth games in Melbourne, Australia in March.

The universities of Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland host the intervarsity games interchangeably. Athletes compete in athletics, basketball, boxing, soccer, netball, volleyball, taekwondo and tennis.
