Mochine Matete rejoins Matlama as Coach

Matlama have acquired the services of seasoned player and coach, Seepheephe 'Mochine' Matete, team manager Paballo Makakole has announced.

Mochine Matete currently  interim national coach following the departure of German coach. Tony Hey last year, is a former Matlama player.

Makakole said following the series of defeat and general poor performance in the first round, the management of the club decided to ask Mochine to bring his coaching abilities into his former club.

Matlama has recently been struggling following the departure of key players like Thabo Mosualle, Matala Seboka and Sello Seholo-holo as well as Motlatsi Rantja. Some of the players joined other clubs while others or are out with injuries, Makakole said.

Matete is reported to be excited about the offer, since “he still has a passion for the club.” He was ready for the challenge, he said.

He started with the club on January 20, a day before the Buddie Premier league resumed after the Christmas break.
