The Memorial Service of 18
people, who died in a road accident that occurred at Ha Mots'oene in the
Tsereoane area on Friday last week, will be held at Tsereoane in Berea on
Thursday, next week. This was agreed at the meeting that was held at the District Administrator's office on Monday, where Teyateyaneng business community, particularly transport owners and the relatives of the deceased were present. Mr. Lebona Lephema said him and other transport operators have decided to assist the bereaved families with funeral arrangements, as the accident was one of the most horrible road accidents that occurred in the Main North One road. Mr. Lephema said business owners in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Works and Transport will open a bank account to allow people of good will to make their contributions towards assisting the families. Superintendent Mojalefa Mpeli of the Berea police said two of 18 people who deceased have not yet been identified, adding that their ages range between 18 and 40 years. The accident occurred at Ha Motsoene in Tsereoane last Friday, where a taxi and a bus collided. 18 people including taxi driver and conductor died instantly. |
