MAKOANYANE XI LOSES AGAIN
The national under 20 team, Makoanyane XI lost their second match in a row after going 1-0 down to Swaziland on Wednesday, hardly a day after losing by the same margin to the host nation at the Sam Nujoma stadium.

The team’s coach Mr. Bafokeng Mohapi attributed the defeat to poor finishing, saying they played better this time but failed where it mattered most in scoring goals, adding that they need a quality striker to solve their problem.

Makoanyane XI will pay against South Africa on Friday to see if they could proceed to the next round of the tournament. Their next opponents (South Africa) have also lost 0-1 against Namibia.

In another sport, women’s Basketball team also lost their opening match against reigning African champion Angola by 38-86.

Meanwhile, all the Basotho athletes and officials as well as the other countries present here were yesterday (Wednesday) requested to take the polio immunisation treatment, as part of the Namibian massive campaign to bring the polio outbreak under control and was the last day of the campaign.
